Korean instant dumplings, known as ‘Bibigo’, are popular in many countries. However, I’d like to share a way to make these dumplings even tastier.
I’m also a big fan of Bibigo dumplings. I’ve been enjoying them for over 20 years. But recently, they’ve become very popular internationally under the name Bibigo Mandu.
It is said that their global sales have surpassed 1 trillion won.

How to cook frozen Mandu (dumplings) deliciously
In the past, I would simply fry frozen dumplings in oil and cook them haphazardly. However, after watching the video below, I learned a much tastier way to cook them. I’m excited to share this method with you.
By learning the simple techniques below, you can enjoy much more delicious frozen dumplings.
What is the best method for deliciously baking frozen dumplings?
- While frying the dumplings in oil, add a little water and cover them with a lid to keep them moist.
- Flip the dumplings over and cook until they are crispy on all three sides.
- Once the dumplings are properly cooked, spread a thin layer of flour dough over them to maximize crispiness.
Anyone can succeed by following the instructions in the video above. If you prepare Bibigo dumplings this way, they will turn out crispier and moister. This method could also be applied to other brands of frozen dumplings, but it works best with Korean-style dumplings.
For additional flavor, as shown in the video, you can add green onions!
